I downloaded the newest version of firefox. It didn't help.
It started as soon as the new version of BYC started.
I'm running windows 7, updated daily.
Yes, if i use the refresh I can then "back"
I haven't done anything with the ads. I see ads, so I assume they are at the original setting for the web site.
It is the worst when I use the spell checker (irritating that my spell checker won't work on your site, so i have to use yours), but also happens when I post and don't use the spell checker. It is intermittent. Doesn't happen every time.
My notes usually post OK, but then I can't "back" to the menu, or go back one page. No "back" at all.
Windows 7
After the forum change
have to click 10 20 times etc to go back Really irks me and I leave the site.
Refresh does not help.
Internet explorer 9
Getting really tired of trying to read anything when I can not go back.
My back button does not work correctly either. If i hit refresh it will work for a few times but then stop again. This started happening after the new BYC website. happens no matter what page Im on. I use internet exporer 9. Ads are on.
I have been trying to replicate this error for a while in IE8/9, but I've been selectively filtering this and that for some time (not just BYC) and don't have the time to monkey around further. I assumed the b.scorecard(lijit) - beacon, to count unique views of ads (it is true - no reason to spend the money on advertising if you can't quantify the utility-but, jeeez, make it fast!) was the problem (have found it to be elsewhere). HTTPWatch (ver8) doesn't show the same hit on page loading, etc. as it used to. So, I'm stumped.
However, I came across this and those of you on 8/9 might want to try (when you get to igoogle, create an account and follow instructions in replies to article, below. Close down and restart IE. This might work with other browsers as well??)
I'd strongly suggest an alternate browser (IE8 is actually superior to 9 as one can turn on the Status Bar and futz with filtering directly - fewer clicks/more info). Comodo's Dragon is Chromium based but, unlike Google's Chrome, doesn't keep calling home incessantly - check your event viewer - applications - sometime, if you are using it. (googleChrome extensions work just fine in Dragon, I'd suggest Page Loader/Web Development tools/Ghostery).
If the above doesn't work please post
PS: If you don't have the latest version of Adobe Flash, get it. Once installed all the settings will be local (on your machine). Go to control panel and click on the flash icon/settings - you'll know what to do...
Just a suggestion... I have found with the back button not working makes it a chore to navigate through this website. One thing that would make it easier is to have more <next> buttons. For example, I love looking at the different coops. It would be convienent to have next buttons on all the coop pages to go through them..
so fusterating!! back button still not working! I have no complaints about the changes to this website except for the back button!! i have to click it atleast 10 to go back! someone suggested to switch back to IE8 still did not work. Any answers yet?
We haven't had any other recent reports of this and usually if it is specific across all users on a specific browser we get a LOT of notes and reports.
Have you tried leaving BYC and clearing out your browser cache?
