Backward walking?

And they can be helpful in severe heat or stress situations. But, I recommend that, IF you give electrolytes, you also provide fresh plain water. Electrolytes given too often can mess up the blood chemistry. I am also too much of a tight wad to spend money on the electrolyte packets
Ditto Dat^^^

You can mix up just part of the packets, just fold over tightly and put in tightly sealed jar to avoid humidity absorption. Tho I'm not too much of a tight wad :D I hate to waste stuff. I only mix up a half gallon for 30 birds and dose no more often than about once a week during heat waves when they appear to be really struggling. It helps a lot, and saved a bird a couple summers ago...why I use it regularly now. Also have used it during cold stress.

I have a hen, bantam cochin, that did that for awhile. She was picked on terrible by the other girls. I think she got pecked in the head one too many times! I increased her protein for awhile and gave her Nutri Drench. It took a few weeks, but she came out of it and is now the happy, proud mama of 3 itty bittys.

just a couple side notes on this thread. silkies are prone to wry neck. I have a 4 year old rooster gets it periodically. I try to give them vitamins in their water every third fill up. But I'll find him with his head down walking backwards. I bring him in and give him vitamin E and selenium and B complex in a small amount of crumbles with yogurt and vitamins in his water. This is controversial but it works for him. my vet suggested 1 ml of tylan 50 twice a day for 5 days. it works. not telling anyone to use it. just saying it works for my buster brown.
