Backyard Brahmas!!

Bumper I thought the blue cocks looked like the gold but had blue instead of black on breast/legs/tail??
That is correct. From the pictures, it looks like he is both blue and black in the best/legs/tail, but that may be the pictures and not the true colors. Usually the gold is kind of washed out as well. I've seen some pictures on the internet of some nice blue cocks, maybe even in this thread. Just don't know where

That's alright...I have brain farts all of the time. Like I said, the pictures look kind of mixed to me, but they are just pictures so it is hard to tell. Remember though, the fluff under the tail will be gray more than likely regardless of whether he is blue or gold.

Thanks! The question though, do we think that extra gold will go away? Wasn't sure if any others have had raised a cockerel..
I have raised cockerels. I'll have to look back at my pictures, but none of mine have really gotten old enough for me to be able to answer for you. @Sjisty would probably know. I'll look at pictures see what I've got. I only had one cockerel make it to 9 months....he didn't have any of the color on his breast at 9 months, but I don't remember if he had it when he was younger. I have one now that has the same colors like yours does, but he's only 3 months old, so I don't know if they will go away or not. I'll let you know in 5 month, of course by then you'll already have your answer.
