Here is my little guy with webbed toes. We named him Chuck...... CH icken -d UCK because of his webbed feet and because he loves water!

I am curious about Chuck's webbed feet. Do you have a pic from the bottom that shows the webbing? I am intrigued.

Here is Chuck's foot from underneath. Please excuse his wet feathers. We have had rain for days. I am thinking this probably isn't genetic since none of the others have this. He has it on both feet though.

Not a problem. All of my guys got those as they were feathering in.

That is crazy. If they weren't fused at the toe too, it almost looks like a person could just lance the webbed part. It doesn't look like it should/does bother him though.

I love this board Brahmama, I think the chick you posted is a guy. None of my pullets developed a feathering pattern like that, but all of my cockerels did. Look at he pic I posted earlier of Chuck. You can still see how scruffy he is and how unevenly his feathers are coming in. All of the pullets have feathered in evenly with a softer color pattern. The ease of sexing chicks is one reason we chose the darks

I know, right? It's really strange. Both feet are fused the same way, toes and all. It doesn't seem to bother him at all. He runs and walks as well as the rest of the chicks. It also doesn't bother him when he's roosting either, he can perch on anything! If there is a puddle of water, he's in it. If it rains, he's the first one out to get wet. Yep.... He's a chicken/duck

So, I may be the unluckiest chicken owner ever! In my short ten weeks of chicken raising, I've had four of six guaranteed to be female chicks turn out to be male!! Will it be easier to find a new home for the young ones? I'm not sure I want to keep trying. This is so disappointing.
