Another question, this time about my 3 week old Dark Brahma. Are the bare spots on her wings a problem?
Not a problem. All of my guys got those as they were feathering in.
That is crazy. If they weren't fused at the toe too, it almost looks like a person could just lance the webbed part. It doesn't look like it should/does bother him though.

I love this boardBrahmama, I think the chick you posted is a guy. None of my pullets developed a feathering pattern like that, but all of my cockerels did. Look at he pic I posted earlier of Chuck. You can still see how scruffy he is and how unevenly his feathers are coming in. All of the pullets have feathered in evenly with a softer color pattern. The ease of sexing chicks is one reason we chose the darks
