i'd love a goat forum. I'm thinking about raising a few in the future, getting excited about that. It's something new from the usual bird raising world. I say yes to a goat forum or even make it a Livestock forum.

We've still got a few snags that I was expecting were going to get resolved a while ago.

We've got the domain www.backyardgoat.com (no "s") and can start a site there, but that would split goat people from here. Also, I wouldn't be able to put much time into it.

The same applies to www.backyardhorse.com (again, no "s")... I can start a forum over there too, but can't spend a lot of time on it.

Both forums have potential and a few people have PM's me that they are excited and want to get them going. I guess I could setup the basics and let the forums grow on their own?

Or, you could promote (or nominate) some of your more experienced moderators to administer those forums - with guidance from you, of course! With some of the forums I moderate there's a level of admin that's beneath the top, I don't know how this software works.

That sure has crossed my mind!!!

While there are only two levels... Admin / Mod, I'm definitely more tempted to do this with the smaller forums, and as they grow I can justify putting in more resources myself.
