Ah, but we have a large shop, and a fair bit of space so we're always able to build more. The woodworker partner person CLAIMS to be grumpy about extra chickens, but then starts suggesting building a sprawling chicken palace (or two). You know, when I'm not catching him cooing over the babies he supposedly "isn't that into".

In a way I have an opposite problem. My wife is nuts for birds and not nearly as picky as I am. Once we move and have more room I know the flock will grow quickly. That's good and bad. I like quality and the wife is more, "It's so cute. I want it".
 
I tend to be pretty excited about all chickens, with a strong preference for ones that are friendly- they're mostly pets to me. We don't keep any that are aggressive. I am looking at starting to breed some, which has led to me paying more attention to confirmation and type, but the "No Aggression" still applies, no matter how nice a bird is. The plan was also to keep to just bantams, but the supposedly-not-chicken-lover person has become interested in Jersey Giants, so....

Mine are serama-some are pets-quality birds to breed and sell from-Wife likes all that have feathers and the more and varied the better.
