My DH and I were just talking about getting two pigs in the Spring...Are they really alot of work? Today is my day to start reading up on them, and decide whether or not we want them. We have 20 chickens, so it's not like we can go away for more than two days anyways...

My 48" woven wire field fence was taking a beating once hogs got to 140+ lbs. A strand of electric about 6 - 8 inches off ground keeps them off and works like a charm...

That is funny you mention this! I was just wondering why there is not a backyard goats and a backyard rabbit forum! I mean, those seem more likely to be found in a backyard than cows!
