Backyardchickens.com violates Facebook community standards?? What??

One of the very large chicken groups i was in got shut down because someone asked on a post about a rooster with no mention of being for sale how much they would take for it. They asked for an appeal which wasn't heard. That group has now reopened on mewe.com. I've also found a local state poultry swap there as well as a local-ish breeder that I got some eggs from a few weeks ago. I've been told that PETA now owns enough shares in Facebook to change their policies and the shutdown of animal groups is a result of that change. 🤷‍♀️

I left Facebook about 3 years ago. I can't believe how much they've gone downhill.

I was a member of a few large chicken groups. I believe I also know which one casportpony is speaking of. All sunshine, rainbows and butt pats. Don't you dare go against the mod's opinions though. The moment you speak the truth about something or state your own opinion - BAM :smackThe ban hammer fell and you were outta there! Some of the advice given was nuts. It was horrible.

The rules against sales wasn't enforced until the last year and groups have been removed for allowing it, my groups don't allow it at all and we moderate posts, the sad thing is there is a real need for rehoming special needs birds, thats where we pm and refer to here. I have a business page there, so its kind of a juggling act, some art groups that offered pet portraits were shut down because the robots picked up the terms 'sale' 'dog' ignoring the group wasn't selling dogs but art.

While on Facebook, I tried to post a link to tell a person new to chickens about my favorite and most knowledgeable site and I got told I couldn’t post it with the link!
Has anyone else had this happen?
Maybe go to the messages and try sending a message with the link. Or just say type in Back Yard Chickens. That's strange. I havent been to fb in more than 2 yrs. My nerves just can't take the friction between my family and friends disagreements. But I've seen posted links in the past.
