After several days i'm not open BYC, now i'm here to tell about BackyardGeo Journey's. ( thanks to 1cock2hens to teach me how to start it)

The story begin maybe 3 years ago when one of my friends ask me if i want to breed Cemani's chicken. And i still remember my answer when i make a deal with him about his 'ask', " i will help you breed cemani's in one condition. i breed them in backyard not in farm. i will let them free, i just give them food, and i will not take care of them like you with your farm, i said".

He is agree with me and finally i start breeding Cemani's at my backyard. The fact, he is not just give Cemani's for me. He's also give me Serama Chicken for breeding. It's ok, as long he don't mind i let his chicken free.

here's, my backyard. upps sorry i name it backyardGeo :)

day by day, week by week and they lay eggs. But they eat it! that make think, if they always eat every eggs then i never success breeding chicken. that's why finally i also make incubator. DIY incubator.
here's mine:

NOTES: Really sorry i intuitively click "create thread" but not finish my story. Sorry for newbie :)

one by one eggs hatch, and i make documentation for it at Youtube. You can see also how i crack an egg to manual hatch it.

I can imagine my DIY 'worse' incubator can hatch chicken. Look at them:

Awesome, glad I was able to help. What kind of feed do you give your chickens? a lot of the time when chickens eat their eggs it's because they are missing something from their diet, mainly protein. Good luck with your incubator!
Because that's not farm, i feed them only from the rest of our food also leafy vegetable that i take from traditional market.

yes I understand you are not a farm, chickens do have nutritional requirements and if those aren't met they will do things like eat eggs, that is why most backyard chicken keepers still give there chickens a pelleted feed of some kind. Is it difficult to get commercial chicken feed there?

// your chicks are very cute. I love that serama stance

No, Sir. It's not difficult to get commercial chicken feed, I remember my parent breeding chicken only with the rest of our food also leafy vegetable. Then i made a promise/deal with my friend to feed chicken also like my parent breeding chicken when i was child.
