I Love Bacon!

However there are certain incidents you may have gotten BAD bacon. I've had good and bad bacon from the butcher, some smelled horrible like it stank badly, others smelled "boarish" and others were slimy feeling.

Have you ever had deli meat that ended up slimey in the next day? What is the reason for that? It was Eckrich Virginia Baked Ham.


I have not yet found a candy store that carries chocolate covered bacon!

Grilled Chicken breast with marinated bacon (marinate bacon in allegro, cook it on grill) with pepperjack cheese OMG!
bacon wrapped figs
the list is never ending. One of the best meats ever created and one of the most wonderful smells in the world. I love the way the house smells after we have bacon.
I could not be a vegetarian. Turkey bacon doesn't do it.

No jokes here about bacon, too serious of a subject.

I love bacon. Has to be about 50% fat though and not heavily smoked. Love the smell when it's frying but if you eat and then go out and come back the smell is kind of gross. We used to have bacon every Sunday as a kid then go to church. When we got home the smell about made me gag.

Hardly ever eat it anymore. Just can't get past the amount of fat even though a lot of people on here seem to think the fat is good for you. Do like to have it at least once a month. Love pork chops. love ham hocks fried in the morning. Haven't seen those in a long time though.

That BLT wrap at Wendy's is pretty good. I like to pretend it's healthy except for the tortilla. They should throw in a fried egg, except fast food places don't do fried eggs very well.

I think I would be remiss if I did not mention a dish that is served at several places here in Texas. Prepare yourself.......battered, deep fried bacon. I have not had it because I am afraid I might go into a bliss coma.
