Lisa, I am so sorry about you chicks and ducks. We are having aunt problems here too. The best thing I have found for Aunts is DE. It is safe for the chickens and the aunts here disappear in a day. I know there is controversy regarding the benefits of DE and I no longer use it in the feed but it really works for aunts. I know many of the insectcides do not seem to faze the aunt populations. If you have a place to get a small amount you might try it. Our feed store is carring it in small boxes now and I live in the sticks..

Maybe Borax? It won't hurt the chickens. Or DM as someone else suggested. You don't have anyone who will eat all the ants? I should lend you some of mine. I never have ant problems. Or flies. They hang around the fly bag and snatch em right out of the air.
