I've had people say horrible things to me over the years because I love my chickies. And yes these were mostly adults and a few were kids. Most of the kids except one 17 year brat with a druggie mom have moved on. One of the adults, a jobless shallow 40 year old has said some nasty things years back. Unfortunately he is still around. I have no use for these people and wish they would go away, but I will forever love my birds. Chicken haters are not now, never have been and never will be my friends.

You need to find someone who loves chickens. Wish I could take my own advice, but I live in a town with shallow cold-hearted people with no depth or concern about anything.

Something I've explained to my kids over the years is that there are ALWAYS going to be those people who want to make mock of and hurt other people so they can feel better about themselves. They've always been with us and always will be. It doesn't matter what it is you like or don't like, they'll find something they think they can use against you.

So don't give them a reaction they can latch on to. These kinds of people are a dime a dozen and are not worth your time. Let them flow over and drain away. Do what you know to be right and the rest will have to take care of themselves.
