Bad duck behavior question

Hello
I bought some egg layers and some-ornamentals. I am now trying to separate them so that the ornamentals are outside the pen.unfortunately they don’t wish to leave and are just sitting outside the fence for several days now.any ideas? The females are still in their pen and the one female mallard that I was going to put out I am giving her a few days to recuperate. I have a pond they don’t seem interested in at all. I feel bad watching them all sit at the fence trying to get back in and the ones inside have forgotten how mean they were. They would run the females off water and food, etc....
Anyway suggestions are appreciated!

Are the Ducks you put out all Drakes? They are creatures of habit and once one begins to wander off the rest should follow. Try feeding them closer to the pond if that's possible?

why don’t the drakes have their own pen? they need predator protection too

I have a male and female Toulouse. I have 2 female and 1 male Cayuga. I have 3 female and 1 male welsh harlequin. And I have 1 female and 1 male mallard. They are in a large pen with a baby pool etc.... I put the male welsh and mallard out of the pen because they were so mean to the females that they started not wanting to come out of their little hut - the males would run them off their water etc... and they were starting to look ragged from that and they were nesting so if they didn’t get it then they werent getting any till the next day cuz they were sitting .

So I put the males outside the pen. The Cayuga isn’t a problem. I thought they would go to the pond but they just sit at the fence. I bought the mallards and the geese for ornamentals not egg layers. I had always intended them to roam free on the pond and to populate my pond. I will put out the female mallard after she has a few days to regain her strength. About100 feet from the fence is a pond. The males just walk around the fence no interest in the pond. They have been doing this for about 3 or 4 days. We don’t have too much inhe way of predators - we have them but they don’t approach the house because we also have dogs. I will try to attach a picture. The good news is we just hatched 7 babies! First time incubating! May still have more. They look like mallard and Cayuga so far if you don’t see movement inside the egg does that mean they’re dead? I see solid and the air cell. One of them I see beak and feet but no movement.

All domestic poultry need secure housing and fencing. None of us know what predators we have till we come out one day an find our birds mutilated. We have to sometime separate our females an makes because of rough treatment during mating season but it’s best they each have their b own pen and house so they are kept safe. We bring them home or hatch we have a responsibility to protect an care for them.

The Drakes are just more interested in getting back with the hens. Once you put the hens out they will all go off to the pond.
