Bad grains?

Are there any specific grains that are bad for chickens to eat whole? I want to use only whole grains for shelf stability. This is not for their whole ration, just for energy/filler.

The best feed is the manufactured feed that's made for Birds. It gives them everything they need.
Scratch grains as a tossed out treat a couple times a week is all they need..

As I said this is not their whole ration. I will be following the choice feeding method outlined here:
