Bad news with dewormer

Safeguard is an ivermectin which is one of the safest wormers out there. I don’t think your gonna have a problem. I accidentally overdosed a bird on Valbazen and that’s pretty harsh stuff. He was ok.

Oooh, ok. I thought that you put most dewormers in water, so I assumed it was the same with safeguard.

I have no experience with dewormer but I would not give them more dewormer the next 3 days or even longer. if there is no better advice coming.

Safeguard would be Fenbendazole. I agree that they will be okay though.

Poultry DMV states 20-50 mg/Kg of fenbendazole to deworm a chicken.
The average LF chicken weighs about 5 pounds or 2.27 Kg. Safeguard liquid goat dewormer is 100 mg/ml. The acceptable dosage range is then 0.45 to 1.13 mls per bird.
