Can't and will not say. Some things are handled internally here and best left at that.

Even if there was a positive trace would you announce it on the open forum and forewarn the person(s)?

uh..no..but..i am just simply asking because this really concerns me..and i would like to know if this person will get some justice..thats all....

...and also..i also want to know because..if it isnt being reported by you guys(and that is absolutley Niftys choice...and his business, if he does or dosent report it...).. but..I would like to know who and how I can report it to someone that will try to track it down...thanks

edited to add..i am not just being nosey....there is a reason that i wanted to know if this person could be traced....because i dont know how to do any of that stuff..or who to call...thats why i was asking....because i would at least like to try...or know that someone else was trying to get this person off the street...

I missed whatever it was but I see it may have been an inappropriate photo.

Just a thought because I did not see the post so I may be off base, but one of the tricks used against people that hotlink to a photo and steal bandwidth (directly link to a photo that does not belong to them) is to switch out the photo for something offensive.

Like I said I did not see the post so I may be way off base.

I missed the mess last night - good for everyone for getting rid of it as quickly as they did, and I'm glad I didn't see it (although I see it all the time on other forums I moderate, I have to delete it, hopefully quickly before anyone else sees it).

One thought is now that BYC is high on the radar this may happen more and more - Rob, have you ever considered using a different forum software, one with more controls? They're out there, and free, one I really like is Simple Machines. I know it would be hard for people to get used to the change, but the admin controls on this are great, much more versatile than PunBB .....just a thought.
