bad rooster fight

Hi all - yesterday the kids came in yelling and screaming that the roosters were fighting. They often have a little scrap, but this one went too far. One of my roosters got injured around the head, particularly his eyes. 24 hours later and he still has his eyes shut. His comb is a bit damaged but I'm more worried about his eyes than anything. Should I treat it in some way? I have separated him, but he doesn't seem to be eating or drinking only because he can't see. Any advice would be much appreciated.

You might look at his eyes by opening the lids to see if they are intact. Put neosporin ointment in them. Try wetting the food and placing it in a bowl near him. You can also dip his beak in water so he can find it. A small cage is best so he can find the food. He may have internal injuries or be in shock.
