Bad Syfy Movies?

I don't watch television so do not see the cable tv offerings, but every once in a while I have a yen for a movie when the family isn't home and I dig out my collection of nineteen fifties black and white atomic monster movies.

Tarantula! is one of my favorites.

Them! is a classic. The best of the giant ant movies ever made.

It Came from Beneath the Sea is another favorite also.

Beginning of the End has some of the cheesiest special effects even for the day, but I still enjoy it.

Then of course there are the original Godizilla movies. Both the original original Japanese version and the original American version (they are different from each other).

Most anything that could be related to the atomic fears of the fifties and early sixties was good.

I rarely watch them anymore but I collect nuclear war films too. They're a pretty dark topic of conversation for a poultry board though.

The sad part about it for me is that my entire family, while they don't understand my love, feed the addiction. They call me if one is on.

There was one...I can't think of the name, but the guy was a giant moth man? Anybody know what that was called?

I often force my bestie to watch with me. His look of pain amuses me as well.

I love sci fi movies. And the cherry on the sundae is a B sci fi flick. My hubby used to say "oh no she's watching another one". But I have sucked him in as well. At first it's "oh no" he goes off for a minute, I see an awesome scene like Piranah's scene where they are the size of a bus hanging off the building they are taking a bite of. So I pause it and drag him back in the room and show him and he ends up rolling and watching the rest. Also he's my personal Crow as he proudly MSTY's the rest of the movie.

Sabertooth-My all time favorite. The end is completely craptacular. It's like they ran out of money, said screw it, and used the dailies for the last CGI shot in the climax of the movie. Just very hilarious.

The Megashark series-It's like having a super nacho plate of cheese.

Raptor Island-The blood spray looked like someone threw a cup of raspberry Kool Aid across the shot.

Mega Python vs. Gateriod-what could be better than Debbie Gibson and Tiffany in the same film where I get to hear my hubby exclaim "how do they kill A. Martinez".

Wyvern-The characters in this movie were the jalapenos on that super nacho plate.

The Lake Placid series-what can I say.. I dig gator sci fi!!!

Then there's the whole list of actors that do these films and when you see them in the credits or their face on the trailer you just have to watch.
Lorenzo Lamas
Lou Diamond Philips
Tiffany
Debbie Gibson
Colin Fergeson
Michael Shanks

Just too many to name off the top of the head.

Yes I do love my sci fi B movies!!!!!

I haven't seen megapython vs gatoroid yet, but Soooo want to. I saw the previews and thought it looked hilarious, but I always miss it.

I have to admit I watched Hobgoblins on sci fi before it got the MST3K treatment and loved it and laughed. Then saw the MST3k one and just about died laughing. We regularly watch Misty's 2 to 5 times a week. Our son watches them with us. We've shown his friends several. Made them watch Hobgoblins until they showed the creatures driving the golf cart (our daughter wanted to do something else). House full of high schoolers cracking up. And the phrase "you accidently turned me on" was repeated several times that night.

I have watched several sci fi B movies before they were Misty'd and then again. My two favs are well Hobgoblins and Santa Conquers the Martian's.

Mansquito! OMG HILARIOUS. One of my favorites.

I also liked the one with the dinosaur bones that came alive? Anyone remember the name of that one? It was hilarious.

Piranha was awesome because it had the Doc.

Christopher Lloyd made that movie for me.
