Jen,

you might try using Tek-Foil. It's kind of like bubble wrap sandwiched between foil. They sell it at Menard's , Lowe's, Home Depot, etc... It's great for insulating. I use it for brooders all the time. Really isulates well- hot or cold.

Jen, Go get some silver sunshades that are made for the windshields for the car. They work great! Problem solved.

I just brought in two bags from the barn to practice on. Wiping the dirt off and trying to decide where to make my bottom cut / seam. I will stress over the design / look.. it 's just me. This bag project was a mental conversation I had with myself and I bought a sewing (Singer Featherweight) machine to craft bags with. I have gone without a machine for many years. This should be a fun project for a very cold afternoon.
