Banning pit bulls in Ohio

Pit bulls are sweet dogs; it's the people that are the mean ones. Also, if you see my avatar, it's my goat sticking out her tounge. That's what she thinks of this bill.

I own one of the sweetest "bullies " on this planet. He would never hurt anyone but he is the only protection that I have out in the country. I think he is all I need too with all this hullabaloo about banning pits! Most folks see this big boy and keep on walking. My husband is a truck driver and gone alot and I feel alot safer with my buddy. A couple of nights ago he even woke up from a sound sleep to go outside and to chase 4 racoons off of my hen pen and saved all the girls for me. I live in central Arkansas and they are all yelling and passing this BSL crap all over down here. There is already 5 or 6 citys and towns that have passed it and even my vet hates this BSL crap and he is fighting mad about it and says he will stand up and defend every "responsible" bully owner client that he has if it comes this way to our city. You can take my money , take my car, but don't touch my dogs or my fuzzy butts!!!!!

1) Our politicians have more to do than worry about what kind of dog you own--but to ask them to give an honest effort to do their job is too much to ask.

2) People that want to own pits should be just as zealous about putting breeders of fighting pits out of business and stopping fights as they are defending pits on forums. That segment of the pit bull society is what causes 90% of your problems, so get after them.

Before everyone goes off their feed, wouldn't it be best to confirm the credibility of this report. It's very possible that it's just a rumor/scare started the the pit bull rescue people. Personally, I don't believe a word of any of it.

Many places want to ban certain breeds. I'm pretty sure its more then just a scare from pitt bull rescues. I'm pretty sure other cities have already passes the ban, I can see a whole state trying to do it too. I think it is horrible. The way I feel has been stated by many people already so I don't need to repeat it all. So lets say they ban the pit bull breed. What about partial breeds. You have a sweet dog that is say a quarter pit bull. So it has to be killed too? What about the other breeds that look like pitt bulls, like the ladys dog who looked part pit bull but didn't have any in it. Do they have to all be killed too? Hearing stories like this just makes my blood boil!!!
