Mary - (in a letter attached to one of my homing pigeons) Dear {Ducks and Banny hens}, You are invited to our house for dinner tonight. Will you come? Sincerely, Mary.
Me - (in another letter) Dear Mary, You can't read this because this is a homing pigeon. Sure I'll come to dinner. If you are reading this letter, then I guess we can have Squab because obviously this homing pigeon is no good. Sincerely, {Ducks and Banny hens}.

That letter was attached to that pigeon for 3 months.

good one!!!!

(Before you read this -- Many people incorrectly spell Birchen as Birchon. Some people get really snoody about it)

-Me (in an ad) - For sale: 1 Birchen OEGB cockerel, 2 Birchen OEGB pullets, 2 Crele OEGB cockerels -- all $15 each. {contact info}

-Anon. - Hi, I noticed in your add that you misspelt something. Everybody knows that you spell birchon with an O, not an E. I would really dislike buying chickens from someone who doesn't even know how to spell. However, I am very interested in the 1 cockerel and two pullets, (but not the Creoles). I will buy them from you if you agree to spell birchon the proper way.

Me - Hello, Thank you for your interest. The Birchens are each 6 months old, and the Creles are 7 1/2 months old. I am down sizing my flock, so that means I either need to sell them, or eat them. It's been about a month since I put the ad up, so I guess I'll have to eat them.

Anon. - Hi, But I'll buy them!

Me - Hi, I thought you said you weren't interested in them?

Anon. - Hi, I am interested. I just want people to know how to spell things correctly. If they can't even spell, how can they breed good quality stock? Now I've raised chickens for 2 years, so I think I have the mental advantage here. Now I'll buy the birds for $5 each, if you start spelling those words right. Deal?

Me - Hi, Your right, you do have the mental advantage. You also don't have my OEGBs.

Oh, boy. Not much to say after that, is there?
