Bantam Australorp?

We dont have any right now but if you check with us next fall we usually have a few for sale

If I can't find any before then (I've had no luck thus far) and I remember, I'll likely contact you for some!

I've ordered some bantams and thought bantam black Australorps would be nice to have too, as I've heard what great chickens the LF are. I love those dark soulful eyes of theirs too. So pretty! I checked out your website and I saw that you've had white Australorps too...that's neat, as I've never seen them before.

How can I get some bantam Aussies shipped to central California? I love the breed but the standards were so loud that I can't have them in my city yard. Was thinking the bantam would be quieter even when they are being noisy.

G'day from Australia,

Australorp Bantams are very popular here and in Great Britain and New Zealand. I've been breeding them for many years and they hold their own in the show arenas.
Our Australian Poultry Standards recognise Australorps in Large (Standard) and Bantams in Black, Blue and White.

If you look at that little fellow in my avatar, he is an exceptional Black Australorp Bantam Cockerel.

Regards,

Ross

The little guy in your avatar is quite handsome!

I figured with more people getting bantams these days, the bantam Australorps would be more popular here since so many people like the large fowl. They're a beautiful bird, that's for sure!

Thanks for the photos and information, everybody. To date, I have three hens - an Isa Brown (named Isis), a Polish-Sussex cross bantam (named Henski) and a Silkie-something bantam (the smallest, with feathered feet, named Fluffski). I'm about to bring in a couple of pullets that a friend originally purchased as Australorps, but as they're much smaller than expected, she thinks they are bantam, and possibly Aracauna (she has a large Faverole rooster, and can't keep bantams). I'm told these pullets are 3 months old, and will soon lay. I would love help in identifying them (sorry the photo is not very clear).

Cheers,

Caz.

G'day and Thanks, he is a handsome little fellow.

He won a very large show for us at Sydney Royal a few years ago and I have chickens on the ground by him now for the 2014 show season.
We keep large and bantams and they are both great layers. We've had them for many decades.
