Maybe it's because 90% of the photos posted here are of roos that people are desperately hoping are pullets. ;-)

I thought it would be interesting to post a followup shot of our little micro-rooster. This is from today - he's almost 9 weeks old now, and has started looking more manly than ever. Seems he has a favorite pose.

I just have to say this post helped answer my question about a BR baby we have.... When I placed my order for my now 6 week old chicks I ordered 14 RIR and 14 BR with 2 of each breed being males... After they arrived we lost 1 RIR and 1 BR( I have no idea which of the sex was lost)... now that the babies have feathered out and are slow growing I noticed the smallest and only the ONE of the BR alot lighter in colouring than the others BRs that were DARK... I just started my search to see what the colours of the roos vs girls were and WHOLA ... this post answered it.... I guess its time to break the news to my 13 year old DD who fell in love and named it TINK... ha ha .... guess the name will need to change to TINKER....

Well, mine is still named Zoe. Sometimes Z-bird. I won't tell him it's a girl's name. ;-)
