Bantam Black Cochin Colorings/Patterns/Genetics

I have bantam black cochins and i have had birds for 10 years but i just recently started a breeding program. I bought my first breeding stock and they are black cochins. I bred them and as they grew, white started popping up. Turns out it's a different hidden color pattern. I breed goats so i am farmiliar with genetics and whatnot but is there any change someone could give me more info and how i can cull for pure blacks? I would really appreciate if you could dumb it down for me! Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Welcome!! Bantam Cochins are the best. I don't have black in my flock so I can't help you there. Try starting a thread over in the Breeding/Genetics forum.
