Bantam Chick Identification

Got some bantam chicks with top knots and silver lacing on the wings. Thought they were silver laced polish at first but the chick pictures online don't match. They have pink legs and what looks like single combs. They are hatchery stock if that makes a difference.

That doesn't match exactly for anything. Maybe an off color Pyncheon bantam? Maybe an unusual Easter egger? I think this one is wait and see.

Okay, I'll go with that. It does seem off, but it is a hatchery bird.

Yeah I couldn't find a match online either...it would be cool if they are Pyncheon Bantams, it'd be nice to help a rare breed thrive. I'll definitely update this forum as they grow.

I've noticed two out of the three don't have the black spots on their backs and are more reddish instead of yellow, perhaps alluding to the "proper" mille fleur color

They do look similar, not quite as red. They are only 4 days old, maybe they'll start looking more like Pyncheon as they grow. Strangely I couldn't find the breed on the hatchery's website that the feed store gets our chicks from (or any chicks that look like the ones we received).

Are they sourcing from Hoover’s? Hoover’s purchased Privvett’s who had Pyncheons and had them on their website. Hoover’s doesn’t list them now but logically, they’re in possession of them

Here’s a link to a discussion on the matter. Some people have reached out and gotten no response from Hoover’s and someone else said they had gotten a response and Hoover’s is working on leg color. Please continue to update on their progress! Apparently this line has some vigor issues and interestingly enough, another Pyncheon chick I saw on this forum didn’t make it to adulthood.
