I'd never honestly heard of Wheaten Partridge, so my head was spinning trying to figure out how those Silkies were Wheaten! Looking up that variety, I see it now.


Makes me wonder if that's what one of my silkied Cochin bantam hens is. She came out of Red parents but looks more Partridge-y to me, so I've always just called her incomplete partridge for lack of any other name. But I guess Red is based on EWh Wheaten, so maybe?

No my breeder said a wheaten Silkie and Partridge is a different colour like my Kayla Silkie..

Wheaton is Bonnie and Kayla is a Partridge..Breeder told me this this morning.
