Thanks. I still think you should try breeding your ancona bantam and OEGB. Would prove whether he carries mottling or not. Also would be an interesting cross. Blue and silver looks pretty good together, in my opinion.

This thread isn't a genetic and breeding thread. It's just pet Bantams and chatting about them. Honestly I don't even know what breeds or colours I have in reality. I just know I love the birds I have so far.

Thing is, with the d'uccle cross, you can't rule out leakage. Even though a blue mottled x silver duckwing will result in leakage, it's much easier to see whether that leakage is actually mottling or not.
