***Bantam Cochin Show and Tell***

Pics
He's an OEGB, I believe -- Old English Game Bantam.
He also seems to be immortal. I've lost... six roosters over the course of two years, now, yet Zapraska -- who was one of the original roosters -- remains untouched.
He's also really mellow once you catch him -- I can just hold him on his back on my palm and he'll sit there. Or with his keel resting on my palm. He's weird, but I love him.
Our D'Anver is nastier than a hornet, but he is calm while being held, but shivers a lot.
We have been losing our fair share of chooks too, but it is okay as we have many youngsters!

We have a huge black rooster who sleeps on an uncovered roof in the open and he hasn't been picked off yet...

Here's Mouse, our Bantam Cochin/Silkie mix. I believe she's going to be 4 years old next year and still a layer. She goes broody every year and our #1 mother hen. All chicks/hens pictured with her, she raised herself. The last photo shown is from 2019.
