Are Bantam Cochins and Pekins the same thing? I'm going to pick up my first Pekins/Bantam Cochins on Sunday from a local breeder.

Yes but there are Pekin Ducks. What color? Post pics when you get them!

I'm pretty sure Bantam Cochin's are called Pekins or Bantam Pekins in the UK. Which is where your location is. Same thing. Pekin ducks are also a breed.

I don't know about where you are, but here in the US, White and Black are pretty common colors. Millefleur is a project color sometimes also referred to as Calico, and I don't know if I've ever seen a Lavender Cochin. Does anyone know if there are any here in the US or a color equivalent to Lavender?

I have two lavender Cochin bantams that I got from purely poultry (I'm in the US). Another name for them is self blue

Oh ok then I have two Self Blue Roo's. I had no idea they were called lavender too

I have a pretty Mille Fleur (is her beak too long?) and a sweet light blue Bantam Cochin. Can anyone tell me what gender they are? They're about 7 weeks.

The Mille Fluer I'd say pullet, the second one I'm not sure about. I have some definite 5 week old Roos now but there are others I'm still not sure about.

The millie pullet is actually a calico, not millie.
