my Black Frizzle Bantam , 6 weeks old I am wondering is this one boy or girl? if anybody know pls? (I brough this one as a girl 1 week ago)

I have a banty from TSC that someone said is a silver laced Cochin. Here it is at one day old, 1 week and 2 weeks as of today. It doesn't have a name yet because I fear it may be a roo. I was told with SL's it can be difficult to tell until about 5 weeks.

It is a cut little one. Kind of reminds me of a little cockerel, but yes Silver Laced will show different color in the boys from the girls at about 5 weeks.

I will keep an eye on it but I have to try and sell any Roos- not allowed in my area. It's so sweet but so curious too. It feathered so quickly I have high hopes but time will tell.

I don't keep the quails I hatch....YET

....the lady I get the eggs from takes them back. I hatch them in my classroom so kiddos can compare the different eggs, incubation period and birds when they hatch! So much fun!!!!

I haven't been getting too close to this one. Handling daily but no real emotion just in case.

I know the feeling! Don't want to get attached to a Roo if you can't keep them

I had one REALLY sweet boy I hatched out last year I would have loved to keep. Thankfully a friend wanted a Roo along with some hens

So one of my babies I am worried about. She acts perfectly normal except for sneezing for the last week. Then this morning I noticed some bubbles in one eye. I'm sure it's a respiratory thing but not sure if it's CRD. Should I treat her with either Tylan or terramycin??

try a couple drops of vet rx in the water. be mindful of dosage as per your waterer that should do the trick
