Just jumping in here and introducing my 9 calico cochins. They are are 4 weeks old today and I'm pretty sure I have 4 Roos, 4 hens and 1 that seems to still be undecided.
These are my first non hatchery birds and my first cochins and I'm loving them SO MUCH! I can't get over their colors and sweet personalities.

So pathetic, somehow I have neglected to take them! I will have to rectify that tonight. They are so adorable!! Smooth & frizzled! So precious.

I posed one of my blacks to see how he would look. He is supposed to be Black Mottled bit I think he is just black.His feathers are beautiful I wonder if he could be SQ.

Nice pics!

Not SQ, i see dark feet. And mottling takes sometimes takes a bit to show fully, but there should still be some white, especially on the foot feathers, if he were to be mottled.

Cute!!!! So many Roos this year! Does that mean hen overload next year?????

My ratio for my own hatching eggs has been higher on the hen side out of 13 I hatched so far only 2 have been roos.

Hello. I'm curious about my little blue Cochin girl if she's meeting the standard or not. She's about 3 months old. Also, didn't like her picture being taken, quite squirmy, so I hope I got enough of her for you to help me.
