Unbearded D'uccles do pop up occasionally. I've seen some poor quality ones from McMurry that were beardless.

@MontmorenciCoop where did you get those chicks? Booted bantams are a rare breed, so unless these are from a breeder it is unlikely they are Booted bantams.

I wasn’t aware that they are rare, I thought you could get them from feedstores?

I got them at a local feed store who gets from a hatchery!

No hatcheries carry booted bantams, so a feed store wont have them unless a private breeder is supplying them with chicks.

Hey! Don’t knock my babies for being hatchery quality... lol. These are my first birds! I’ll never do chicks again. I picked up some silkies from a breeder and I’m obsessed with them, they’re 2 months... the chick phase didn’t interest me lol.

I didn’t mean it in a negative way at all, my only two purebreds are both hatchery quality as well (the other two are mutts). It does make a difference though, as you can see from the lack of a beard.
