Does anyone know what this little dude/dudette is?
I was thinking Cochin but now it is starting to look like maybe a lavender D’uucle?

I can add new photos in the morning but this is him/her as a chick. Feathery feet, 4 toes, a gray/silver color. And SO SMALL.

Thank you! Is that a rare breed? She’s my favorite! I’m praying she’s a girl. I posted more photos of her and another one that I thought was a D’uccle...
I was hoping she was a Cochin. I want one so bad!
Not a very rare breed... maybe uncommon at the most. D'uccles are great little birds! I used to have one, and she was the friendliest chicken I've ever had.

The other chicken is a Mille Fleur D'uccle, and a pullet. Based on the recent photos, the Porcelain is probably a cockerel. 🙁

That's interesting. I also had a friend with a feisty little D'Uccle rooster. Maybe it's common in the breed. My D'Uccle x Silkie was great though, not sure what breed he took after
This thread strikes home. I lost one of my two Porcelain hens Tuesday afternoon. Something (a hawk I believe) spooked her and her coop mates and she flew up against the wire and broke her neck. I turned around and saw her flailing around a couple of seconds before she died. It was one of the worse moments in my over a half century raising chickens. I'm still sad.

Thank you so much for IDing them. You think the Porcelain is a rooster? I was thinking the comb was too little for a rooster but I know nothing about these. I’m okay with him being a rooster, he has a special place in my heart. When he was really tiny (he’s like 1.5 months now) he had issues with his vent getting stuck with poo... I had to clean him daily. Lol, so he’s a big baby! Hopefully he’s nice to my other birds, he seems so calm compared to my others!
The Porcelains comb is looking pretty thick and bright pink, especially compared to the Mille Fleur, which is making me think he is a cockerel. D'uccle roos are known for being friendly, so hopefully he works out in your flock!
