Bantam ... Something? Please help identify.

New Pics of the mystery chick :-)

I've noticed she / he also has what looks like little bumps that spurs would / will grow. If that helps to narrow down a breed that might also carry that...

Alright, supposedly she is exactly two weeks old from the day she was purchased at TSC. She is also 5 inches tall. Tail feathers just poping out now.

Very interesting! I don't have a clue what breed it is. Are you sure it's from Mt. Healthy? I looked at their website and I don't see that they have bantams.

Sure thing, I'm on my phone so I'll post pix tonight.

Yep they are from mt healthy, I was there when the box arrived. Mt healthy Told me they don't know what bantams they have as the eggs arrive as assortments.

wow! what a beautiful baby you have there! i am by far a pro, i have only had my babies for 7 weeks now. however with all the research i have done trying to identify one of my bantams i have come across pictures that resemble the baby you have pictured here. just by looking at your baby i instantly thought of 2 different breeds. the first a RIR. i have 2 of those whom i raised and they are 7 weeks old as of today. but i have tons of their baby pics and some of the features are very similar. the second thing i thought of was a golden sebright! i am stuck trying to figure out if one of my bantams is a silver sebright or not. but i do recall coming across a ton of pics of baby goldens and their wing patterns strongly resemble those of your baby :)

i know you are anxious to find out lol im in the same boat with 2 of my bantams.... still trying to get the breed straightened out lol whatever the outcome i know this chick will be a beauty for sure!!! i hope you take some weekly update pictures so we can see the development! maybe after more time goes by and more features come out someone can make a definite call on the breed. i wish you well and i hope you have an excellent day!

Okay I called again to Mt.Healthy and she told me the ONLY bantams they have are as listed :

Red Pyle OEGB
Black and White Silkie
Golden Seabright
Mille Fleur

So... O.O I also got 6 OEGB that are Silverduck wing. Hmmm Ill have to call TSC and see if they used another hatchery as well. They must have for me to have Silverduck wing OEGB, she said no they do not have those at all.

you have 6 OEGB that are silver duckwings? can you please post a few pictures of those babies for me to see? i was told that my tiny baby might be an OEGB silver duckwing. she is 7 weeks old today and i actually just posted pictures of her asking for identification help. i have tons of pics of her as a baby growing up so it would be great to see pictures of yours :)

thank you in advance!

Thanks everyone :) Maybe it is a golden seabright? She looks big for a seabright... but then again its a hatchery. I'll look up some pics. :) The mystery continues!

Whoever you talk to at mt healthy is not correct. I work for our local TSC and every thrus we get 50-100 assortment bantams from mt healthy, I am there in the morning when the box arrives and the shipping label has mt healthy on it. We have gotten everything from polish, to silkies, to ee, to old English, to Cochins, to d'uccles in all non rare colors.
