That is your henhouse?!?! I am in love !!

Wow! Thank you for sharing with us! I soo need to get to work on our chicken coop....

As you already know, FANTASTIC pics! Your property, your animals and your kids (hubby too!) are all absolutely beautiful. Do your Rhodesian Ridgebacks think the chickens are to play with? Mine desperately wants to play (lick, taste, chase) with our 4 week olds, but I'm too chicken (sorry:p) to let him "play" until they're older. It's not as if they're lions! Enjoy your bounty, and keep posting pics, please!

The main problem we've had since rescuing the RRs is their desire to hunt!! We're actually sending all but one to find good homes without cats or chickens or any other animals for that matter.

Its' been most sad, they were allowed to run free (we're out in the country and that's the way we thought dogs should live), but--BUT after killing several of my precious cats and now they moved onto my chickens---they are finding NEW homes.

We want a peaceful and enjoyable farm, with sheep, baby lambs, goats, peafowl..etc., and the RRs just won't let us have that.

I think it's because we rescued them and didn't raise them from puppies, but they will NOT let anything live on our property without wanting to chase it and then eat it...

Hopefully yours will resist their deep instinct to hunt.....

This one, one of my favorites--became my not so favorite after I caught him with my sweet "Big Mommas"...

Here's Isabella's most recent photo-taken outside yesterday when the sun was up, the wind was soft and the breeze was cool; what a perfect day! It was her first time touching the grass, too.

I don't blame you for rehoming those big guys. I've lost numerous chickens and two baby goats to my huskies. Not an experience I care to remember. They are nearly impossible to rehabilitate once they've been rewarded by the thrill of the chase. Good luck at finding them great homes.
