Hello! I'm trying to find out what breeds my new bantum chicks are. I've got 6 of the cute little buggers, and no clue what they are. Would you lovely peeps please help me out?

I see what I think are two Old English Game bantams (they're tiny and have distinctive chipmunk stripes) and I think the red's a cochin (does he have feathered legs?) The black with the white head spot might be a barred rock bantam.

I would like to see whether any of them have feathered legs, and what sort of combs they have. That would be really helpful in identifying breed.

Agree with sylviethecochin

Feathered legs narrow it down quite a bit.

A flat comb (pea or rose) probably means brahma, and a beard or muffs probably means a d'uccle of some sort. Crests mean silkies or sultans, but I don't see any crested birds. Barring any of that, I'd assume a healthy assortment of mostly cochins.

Your black chick with the white head spot is barred. I'd assume he's a barred cochin, unless you have reason to believe otherwise.

x2 agree.

The black with white spot on head is NOT a Barred rock, they don't have feathered feet. It is a cochin - they come in all colors

Thanks a ton! It's been over a decade since my last flock of chickens, so I feel like a complete newbie to this. Pleasantly surprised that 6 chicks are less messy than my last duckling. I have a lot more experience with ducks.
