I have a question regarding the growth rate of banty Polish chicks...do they grow faster than other banties, or is it possible that i have a standard Polish instead?
She started out a little bigger than my silkie chicks, closer in size to my GLW and BA chicks. But now she is huge compared to the silkies at 6 weeks of age (all the same age, by the way). Sadly, my GLW died at 3 weeks and my BA chick has now recovered from an illness that left her growth stunted (she's the smallest in the group); my point being that i don't have any standard chicks of the same age to compare her to for size. I've never had a polish before, so i was curious.
Did i mention that she is insane? What a spaz...and with a mega dominance complex to boot - she attacks all other chicks in the brooder, causes mucho trouble in the ranks...sheesh.
