He and I have exchanged differences in opinions yesterday. I offered him a handful of grubs and he bit me. I dropped the grubs and he bit me again even harder. I think I am done with roosters for now. I am just not prepared for this meanness.

I usually get surrounded by the roosters first. They have started scuffing with each other now at 8 week old. I may get some stinkers.

Green band, the one that was born with an issue holding its head up, is indistinguishable from the rest now. Whatever problem it had, it grew out of it.

So are they basically d'Anvers with a crest? Which ones are rumpless? Barbu?

All of the Belgian breeds are Barbu, since that means bearded. They are similar to d'Anvers but there are differences as well, like the crest, the comb, and the type.

I have 4 roosters and 4 hens showing nice triple combs. I’m hoping a couple more get better at 8 weeks. Got a lot showing promise for type. I want some Barbu de boitsfort. cute
