Barbu de Watermael thread?

Pics
Is there a d'anvers thread that's kept up to date anywhere? I'm searching the forum but I don't see any threads that gained very much traction.

I just wish to complain about my red millefleur, Constellation. I feel like she's going to end up completely white after this molt. It's her first adult molt. First picture is before she started to really drop 'em a month or two ago.

You can complain here, I don’t mind.

Oh well. Even if she ends up looking nothing like her old self she is still a nice bird. She has started wondering what the watermael are up to when they are sitting with me every day. For the last week I have seen her climb voluntarily into my lap with the baby girls and have a sit. She doesn't stay for very long, maybe a minute, 3 minutes tops. But it's something. It's something I never had before with her, for sure. She lets me pick her up, but she never sought me out for companionship.

I really think there is something to just being in their space and ignoring them entirely. If you treat them like outdoor cats they just get comfortable with you and suddenly you're "one of them".

Two of my adult d'anvers and one of my baby watermael girls have decided to start crowing in the morning.

I thought it was weird to have one of them doing it.

Along with behaviors, my rooster squerks every time anyone coughs or laughs or sneezes. I think it's hilarious. My husband has a burning desire to know why he does that.

Morning coffee with Onyx and Pearl. Everyone else is directly under my chair.

They’re so beautiful!

They’re so beautiful!

They were especially cute without their tail feathers, but their new tails are glorious lol. I can't wait until they are finished growing in their feathers. I love how luxurious their beards are, and they're only 50% grown in. When I lift their beard feathers half are still in wax or blood feathers.

One of my d’Anvers looks like a d’Grubbe right now as she molts, lol.
