Barn Progress ** Updates & Photos, Follow Along**

OK, let's see: 3 kids ages 1, 3, and 5 all with paintbrushes?
EEEK!!!
Mine are 2, 4, and 6 so I have no excuse, I guess. We still have the wire to go, but maybe I'll be brave and let them give it a try.

The barn is beautiful--what an amazing difference! Do you want me to send you a hex sign?

Thank you for all the kind words. It's really come a long way and still has a long way to go yet.

Shellie, the coop and run look terrific! Congrats on a job well done. You have happy chickens.

Since it snowed a few days ago, we started winterizing. I tarped off a section of the run for Jake. Some nights, he just wants to roost outside. I also painted as much as I will before the real weather hits. Hopefully, my run lives threw a Pocono Winter!

Jake's tarped side.

I still need to get some coverings on the windows, since it's a wind tunnel inside the barn. Other than that, I guess we're good to go.

Everything is looking great!

If your rooster likes to sleep outside, be sure to regularly coat his comb and wattles with vaseline. It will keep him from getting frostbite on them.

Let us know how your cover holds out in the snow, Shellie. I'd love to have a partially covered run myself, but I have a tree inside it and it would be a bit tricky to go around that.
It does look really nice.
