Barnevelder breeders lets work together and improve the breed

I had Lakenvelders when I was younger and I loved the color of them. They were good egg layers but they lay a white egg. They are completely different from Barnevelders in every way, lol. Barnies are dark and lay a brown egg. Lakenvelders are white with a black head and tail and lay white eggs. They have a slimmer appearance and are a little bit flighty. That was my experience with them anyway.

Interesting I am seeing some of the red bleeding through on the backs of those GB -Ebay silvers that I am also experiencing on my silvers. You can see it if you look at the pictures using the closeup tool. Those birds are very striking to look at.

Looks like I will have a really good hatch:) All eggs are pipped. The bator was getting really crowded so I pulled all the fluffed chicks out to go into the brooder. Looks like I got a bunch of girls too:)

LOL, I must have received all the boys. I counted 5 pullets when I moved them to the separate area of the big coop.
Okay I had ordered 2 females from Meyer Hatchery. But I'm thinking one is maybe a roo. "Kaylee" is around 7 weeks old.
What do you guys think? Boy or girl?
Pullet.

I got my first egg from one of my blue barnie pullets on Sunday. It's a beautiful egg. She's only 24 weeks, so I was definitely surprised. My last pure barnie girl waited 11 months before giving me an egg!
