barnevelders at Ideal?

I have one that was part of their 'trial run' last year, and she's lovely, with very cohesive conformation. The eggs aren't any darker an a BR, but the bird is lovely and sweet. I don't know that you'd be able to get anything near show quality, as I only got the one girl, but I was pleasantly surprised. I think sometimes when hatcheries get into newer breeds, their original stock is still good and hasn't yet lost some of the embetterment of the breeder from whom they acquired them, as the quality will degrade some over time due to lack of culling for conformation.
