So what crested breed was responsible for that crest? I absolutely don't see Polish or Sultan or Houdan. Either way, it's a cockerel and is a mix of mixes.

Standing pics from the side would be most helpful for breed identification.

I was thinking Swedish flower or Icelandic, though I know those are less common breeds. Not completely sure yet. Could certainly be a mix of mixes.

I could see that too. Especially Icelandic. Agreed that those are more unlikely though.

I bought this mix as day-olds from CL to "chickenize" a flock of Guinea Fowl of the same age. I figured they were run of the mill Rhode Island Red based birds but I've ended up with all these beauties! I'm not sure of general breeds they came from or sexing for them. Any help is appreciated!
