Hi! What color eggs do they lay? My neighbor up the street has 2 that her son is not taking care of and I was going to take them, but really want some white egg layers. Thanks!

I am pretty sure it is a female because it has more dark on her feathers than white. Males would be more half and half with the b/w and appear lighter in color.   Just read here on BYC and ask questions and you will find plenty of info about chicken care. /img/smilies/smile.png

I need help, we got new chicks almost 3 weeks ago because one of our last 2 turned out to be a rooster. I am now overly paranoid that I don't want this happening again. Can anyone help with sexing my almost 3 week old barred rock? The other is a buff orp.

I've loved reading this thread b/c we have 5 chicks, 2 weeks old, and one is BPR and I have my questions on her. What was the final verdict on yours? I didn't see anything after the last pictures were posted. Curious!
