If the choice was between rocks and NEW HAMPSHIRE reds, I’d choose the reds... but I don’t really have much positive experience keeping Rhode Island reds... sooo Rocks!

I will admit, RIR roosters are more handsome than rocks! But a good quality rock's barring looks dazzling.

Rocks over RIR all the way- but I do like the partridge pattern over the barred one. @cmom 's RIRs are gorgeous, but aside from those ones, I don't really like RIRs.
