You can treat for cocci without causing harm even if it isn't the issue.

The medication works by blocking thiamine which starves out the coccidia. It's important not to supplement vitamins during treatment or it defeats the purpose. It comes in powder or liquid form and suspect they do carry it a TSC.

I don't know if wry neck can start this early. And I believe it is treated with vitamins. That is something I have yet to experience... and would be MORE likely in Silkies than a Rock.

A symptom tool that tells you ALL the possibilities of what it could be according to the symptoms you put in. You then have to narrow down what you think it is. I highly doubt wry neck... but DO learn something new everyday.

Also I do remember having some star gazers in shipped chicks. But I don't now if that's the same thing as wry neck.

Wry neck would be treated with vitamin E and selenium.

She also looks different than last night, like her feathers look different but I can't figure out what the difference is, but its there...someone has loose poop

I am trying to read up on other feed I can add that is good such as tuna in water and broccoli.

I googled and found "Wazine" from tractory supply for cocci.... do I go get that? I may grab some anyway, but do I use it now?

You mention you put pond sand in the brooder? Where was this sourced from?

I agree, it does sound like Coccidiosis as suggested.

Treatment is with CORID which can be found in the cattle section of Tractor Supply. You may find it in powder or liquid. Dosage is 1 1/2 teaspoons Corid powder per gallon or
2 teaspoons of 9.6% Corid liquid per gallon. Give for 5-7 days - make sure this is the ONLY water available during that time period. Mix a fresh batch at least once a day.

At this particular time, you want to only feed them their normal chick starter. Changing up the diet to broccoli or tuna can wait until you get this figured out. Check your feed bag to make sure it's in date and not moldy. (if you have a photo of the feed bag, that would be great).

I'm not sure where you found info that Wazine (piperzine) would be a good treatment for Coccidiosis, please don't use that - it is an anthelmintic (de-wormer) for Ascirids (roundworms). As mentioned by @EggSighted4Life it's highly doubtful a 2week old chick would be suffering from worms.

How about a pic of her sitting or standing as she is. That neck does look pretty limp. Can she pick it up? How long have you had her?
