Nutri-Drench is fine - direct a few drops.Nutra drench since mid last week the other every day. Do I get Poly visol no iron? do I give nutra drench direct to beak?
Sometimes people have mixed up their dosing mixture with electrolyte type stuff incorrectly.
That (electrolytes and minerals) and vitamin E (fat soluble) can be overdosed on.
Yes, I would do nutridrench directly to the beak. I don't know if I would give the PVS (yes with NO iron, if you do) with nutridrench...
Make sure it has selenium, whatever you are using. If not, get some human one to mix in.
I also read studies showing that birds (I think chickens), fed a diet high in selenium and deficient in E did not show the deficit symptoms as much as those who didn't. Stupid to site something I can't link the resource. Because what does "high" mean anyways? The purpose of Selenium with Vitamin E, is that it helps with the uptake (absorption?) of E, if I understand it all correctly.
Interesting. The only thing with Selenium is I've read it can be toxic in high dosages, but again, what is high?I also read studies showing that birds (I think chickens), fed a diet high in selenium and deficient in E did not show the deficit symptoms as much as those who didn't. Stupid to site something I can't link the resource. Because what does "high" mean anyways?
Hope she makes it and the vet is able to help. It's always nice if that's an option.![]()
Yes I read that too... and suspect it may be even truer for some species than others. The only thing with Selenium is I've read it can be toxic in high dosages,
