So we let our little farmer(our six year old) pick out four chicks from our local feed store. Initially the store manager said that she thought that our black chicks were sexlinks...but that she was not sure. And they were supposedly sexed, all hens. After asking on this site the consensus was barred rocks. We for sure were surprised with one sneaky rooster in this group! But recently I started wondering about these two. They are both 9-10 weeks. There is no wattle development and they have very little combs (ccompared to our RIR Roo they look like hens). But I have never owned barred rocks (if that is what they are). Should I notice wattle development by week 9-10 in this breed? I am panicked that out of my new four, all but one will be roosters. Any help with sexing them would be great. I know my pics are not the best.
