But, the comb. It's a single blade without points like a wild jungle fowl might have. There is nothing typical about it, it certainly didn't come from any pairing of single combed breeds. The only other time I've seen one like that was on a "Brahma" my mom got from a farmer who was selling mixes. Who knows what was in that mix, I don't think he was even half Brahma (no leg feathers at all).

The first photo is out of focus on the comb. In the second shot, you can see points.

The comb does not have well-defined points, certainly. I've had some pure BR pullets that age with combs very similar to that, and maybe even a couple of cockerels, but at younger ages than the pullets. It could be a pairing of a single combed bird with either a pea or rose comb, of course, but I'd like to see this bird in two weeks' time.

I was told these are Barred Rock Cockerels and they are 10 weeks old

Without knowing the exact source of the bird, I assume that it's hatchery/feed store sourced, since that is how most people obtain their chicks. A black sexlink cockerel would be the most likely 'breed' under those circumstances.
The other birds pictured appear to be Leghorns, which is further confirmation that he didn't come from a random, mixed flock.

I got the chicks from Tractor Supply the white ones were marked as ISA Browns and the Black and white was marked as Barred Rock (it is a rooster he crowed for the first time a few days ago)

New photo? I have a feeling he's one of the "slow" meat bird mixes -- Kosher King or Gray Ranger or something like that. The numerous dual purpose hybrid mixes (not breeds) have made it SO much more difficult to ID young birds.

Here are some new pictures taken today he is about 12 weeks old
