It could also just be a mixed breed with a White chicken and a Barred Plymouth Rock. Where did you order the chickens from? This doesn't have hackle feathers no a large comb. It's a pullet.
I have been thinking Marian may be when she starts laying I will know if that is correctHer tail feather look like my Silver Cuckoo Maran.
I ordered her from tractor supply I think they come from Hoover's hatcheryIt could also just be a mixed breed with a White chicken and a Barred Plymouth Rock. Where did you order the chickens from?
Actually, several hatcheries sell mixed breeds. That's what sexlinks are, after all. Cackle sells a cross of Delaware and New Hampshire they call Indian Rivers. And Townline and Hoover (both popular suppliers for TSC) had a meat-type crossbreed that resembled Barred Rock mixes last year. I forget what they were called, and they aren't being offered this year.she is the only one from the brown layers mix, day old chicks, ordered from tractor supply that I can't figure out.
Yep, exactly what I said, too. She could very well be a crossbreed- some "production" breed.Actually, several hatcheries sell mixed breeds. That's what sexlinks are, after all.
